Doug Kelsey recently retired after serving five years as CEO at TriMet (Portland, Oregon).

Before that Doug was the Chief Operating Officer of TransLink, overseeing the operations of the TransLink services comprising Rail, Bus, SeaBus, Transit Policing, Roads and Bridges, Corporate Engineering, Strategic Initiatives, Information Technology, and Safety & Security.

Doug has a strong private sector background in leading significant change to achieve top performance in both the private and public sectors including multi-national organizations such as Shell Canada, Starbucks Coffee, and the Great Canadian Railtour Company.

Doug’s extensive background includes; strategic planning, finance, mergers and divestitures, operations, asset management, marketing, distribution, Information Technology, and real estate.

Additionally, Doug was one of the key leaders responsible for the development and defence of the complete transportation plan with the International Olympic Committee during the successful Vancouver 2010 Olympic bid phase. He was the Chairman of the Transportation Advisory Committee for 2010 Olympic Games and was directly accountable for the highly successful Spectator and Workforce transportation for the Metro Vancouver area,  including all facets of  TransLink  operations for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

He is the Co-Founder and past CEO with The Telus / HSBC Basketball Classic, one of the largest High School preseason basketball tournaments in North America.

Doug is a graduate from the CEO program at the Kellogg School of Business in Illinois and serves on several Boards of Directors.
